Po více než 15 letech příprav je nyní dokončen největší pozemský přehlídkový dalekohled - Observatoř Very Rubinové. Slavnostní prezentace prvních vědeckých snímků z observatoře proběhne v pražském Planetáriu ve Stromovce v pondělí 23. června. Živému přenosu budou předcházet ještě dvě krátké informativní přednášky o unikátním dalekohledu (Petr Kubánek) a vědeckých cílech observatoře (Michael Prouza). Akce proběhne v nově zrekonstruované 22-metrové kopuli Planetária s unikátním systémem více než 45 miliónů LED diod. Před akcí bude slavnostní připítek s drobným občerstvením ve foyer Planetária, po akci možnost neformální diskuse s dalším občerstvením opět ve foyer. Vstup na akci je možný od 15:15, přednášky začínají v 16:00, konec živého přenosu je očekáván kolem 19:00, ukončení akce nejpozději v 22:00. Rezervace místa je nezbytná s využitím rezervačního systému zde, je možné rezervovat pouze jedno místo na osobu. /

After more than 15 years of preparation, the largest ground-based survey telescope – the Vera Rubin Observatory – is now complete. The ceremonial presentation of the first scientific images from the observatory will take place at the Prague Planetarium in Stromovka on Monday, June 23. The live broadcast will be preceded by two short informative lectures on the unique telescope (Petr Kubánek) and the scientific goals of the observatory (Michael Prouza). The event will take place in the newly renovated 22-metre dome of the Planetarium with a unique system of more than 45 million LED diodes. Before the event, there will be a ceremonial toast with light refreshments in the foyer of the Planetarium. After the end of live broadcast there will be an opportunity for informal discussion with further refreshments, again in the foyer of the Planetarium. Admission to the event is possible from 15:15, lectures begin at 16:00., the live broadcast is expected to end around 19:00, and the event will end no later than 22:00. Reservations are absolutely necessary usig this reservation system, and only one seat per person can be reserved.
